Apple Cider Vinegar Benefits – Is It Good For You?

By Jared DiCarmine On April 27, 2011 Under Supplements For Fat Loss

Apple cider vinegar and its benefits have been popping up all over the internet recently and reporting numerous health claims. I don’t know where this data has come from so I’ve decided to dig a little deeper in my own investigation to see what the fuss is all about.

First off, apple cider vinegar needs to be a certain way for you to get the full benefits. It’s available in pill form and as a liquid. I wouldn’t take just the pill. I would try and use it in the most pure form available which is a liquid. Your vinegar should be double fermented. Any other way such as pasteurization, distilling, etc can actually destroy the various enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. This is the only way you should buy it as a supplement.

Now according to Dr. D.C. Jarvis from Vermont, he says to take one or two teaspoons of the stuff in water before each meal. Since it is in liquid form, the uptake of the supplement is going to be really fast. If you took it in pill form, it would have to be digested so things would take longer for it to work.

Now you’re probably wondering how apple cider vinegar works for belly fat and weight loss. There are many theories to this and scientists still are not exactly sure how it works. The main theory and my possibly explanation is that it increases your insulin sensitivity before each meal.

By increasing your insulin sensitivity, there is less of a chance of the carbohydrates that you ingest being stored as belly fat. If you do this over time, the results could actually be positive.

I would recommend you have 1 to 2 teaspoons in water before each meal, but also eat healthy at the same time. Don’t go and have junk food thinking that supplementing with this stuff will stave off any increase in body fat.

That’s just not going to happen. If you eat healthy, cut out all junk food, consume a lot of vegetables, eliminate most carbohydrates in the form of dairy and wheat,  weight loss would be unavoidable. You could lose weight this way without question. Now, if you combined this eating and supplement approach with exercise, then your results would be astronomical.

This is a good example of an exercise program on how to get a flat stomach fast without having to diet. It’s a great article on stomach workouts.

All in all, apple cider vinegar’s benefits are being shown to have positive effects on weight loss. It definitely can’t hurt you to try out the product. Just remember to take it in liquid form, double fermented and in water before each meal.
