Steve Jobs And Your Life

By Jared DiCarmine On October 10, 2011 No Comments

Let me be the first one to say that this blog post is not going to be about Steve Jobs and his life. It’s not going to be about how he shaped the world, what he did to change the way we communicate and how he impacted the lives of billions of people around the world. This is stuff you already know and have been bombarded with the past few days. Yes, he was a titan and a modern day giant in the eyes of many. For one man to change the entire scope of how we do things is pretty extraordinary. But what this post is really about is YOU!

Now you might be thinking “what the hell do me and Steve Jobs have in common.” Well, it has nothing to do with the iPhone, the iPad, or the Mac…

To be honest you two don’t have a single thing in

57 Ways To Kick Butt And Take Names

By Jared DiCarmine On August 18, 2011 No Comments

I’ve been doing a lot of reading and thinking lately. Mostly about life, being successful, this blog, and how I can reach and help more and more people throughout the world. With the age of technology and social media, Facebook, Twitter, etc, it’s almost impossible NOT to be able to get in touch with someone.

It’s a blessing but also a curse in some ways. I got into this whole fitness game because of a tragic event that happened when I was a young child. My favorite uncle passed away on my birthday. I was 12 years old. I remember the day like it was yesterday, an exact minute by minute account. He was the guy that got me my first weight set. He was the one that I thought was the coolest dude ever. He drove a corvette and was known everywhere. I didn’t know it at that time what

How Would You Like To Live Your Life?

By Jared DiCarmine On July 29, 2011 No Comments

Today’s blog post has absolutely nothing to do with fitness or fat loss.

Nothing at all. But what it does have to do with is life and how we should really live our lives on a daily basis without any regrets. The video you’re about to watch below, I saw on my friend Bedros Keulian’s blog the other day and just had to share it with you.

After watching it, it reinforced the way that I want to live me life and not how someone else wants me to.

I have to admit, it can be a bit of a tear jerker.

But I wanted to share it with you for some inspirational and motivational reasons.

I hope you like it…

Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff Champ

By Jared DiCarmine On July 27, 2011 No Comments

Hey hope you’re doing great today.

I wanted to talk to you about something that really ticks me off.

People who get all caught up in trying to lose weight or build muscle and all they worry about is the small stuff…

What’s the small stuff you might ask?

Example: Mary wants to lose weight. In fact, she wants to lose exactly 20-30 pounds. She doesn’t exercise that much and has a so so diet. She likes to drink on the weekends with friends and goes out to dinner once a week. She used to be skinny but not anymore. She’s an okay cook, but sometimes gets things wrong, believing she is eating healthy when in reality she is not.

This is the profile of a typical client I see and work with.

Now instead of just worrying about the diet and exercise part of everything, the person worries about which “fat burner” to take or

Weight Loss Motivation And Accountability

By Jared DiCarmine On June 6, 2011 2 Comments

Weight loss is not always about diet and exercise. Many people never realize it, but losing weight is all about your mindset. You can have the best coach, nutritionist, chef, and trainer in the world, but if you don’t have the motivation, you will not succeed. I have seen it happen before time and time again.

You want to know a little dirty secret about some of the top trainers in the world and on the internet??

With all the knowledge that they possess, they too hire other trainers and nutritionists to prepare their workout programs and diet routines. Why?

Well it’s not because they are lazy, but it all has to do with motivation and one other big tip…

Accountability.

By staying accountable to someone, you stand more of a chance of succeeding with your weight loss goals then not staying accountable. By hiring a coach, that is just one small step to forcing

My Big Diet Screw Up

By Jared DiCarmine On May 26, 2011 No Comments

I have to confess…

I totally screwed up on my diet yesterday.

BADLY.

You see, my client and I are coming up with different dessert recipes or taking old ones and making them better. We are doing this by taking out the bad ingredients and replacing them with healthy ingredients. Let me tell you, this stuff tastes amazing so far…

Anyways, we were training yesterday morning and she had made chocolate chip cookies. I of course am the official taste tester for these new delectable delights and tried one. It tasted amazing. It literally melted in my mouth. This was because of the type of flour she used. Hint, it’s not wheat flour or none of that white crap.

So one cookie turned into twelve!

Then when I got home around 9 a.m, those 12 cookies turned into a large banana with 4 scoops of natural peanut butter, a large bowl of homeade pork fried rice,

Increase Your Motivation For Weight Loss With This Jedi Mind Trick

By Jared DiCarmine On March 11, 2011 No Comments

The mind is so powerful and untapped that I think new discoveries will be on their way very soon.

Your brain can trick you into lifting a car off of someone, it can trick you to think you have a brain tumor in your head when all it is is a headache (yep that happened to me), and it can control your thought processes especially when it comes to weight loss.

I’ll give you an example of an old client of mine.

She’s great, an awesome person, nice and everything you would expect from a good human being. She has always struggled with her weight her entire life. She has been skinny, fat, average, fat, then skinny again. It’s all over the place. She can never seem to get it under control.

She eats right SOME of the time and exercises SOME of the time.

Building A Wall One Brick At A Time

By Jared DiCarmine On September 15, 2010 2 Comments

Today, I had an interesting conversation with an awesome client of mine and it all had to do with mindset and motivation.

You see, my client who I would categorize as a hyper eater told me how he went ballistic the other day and totally blew his diet. I’m talking about  like he never saw food before or was on a deserted island with nothing but coconuts and nasty little sand crabs crawling all over the place.

Before this, he was doing a fantastic job sticking to his diet. For almost 3 months, he never binged or cheated until the other day. As we talked more and more, I saw numerous reasons why the diet blew up and he gave into temptation. I’m going to talk about these reasons today, how to avoid them, and how to have a killer mindset so you can reach your goal of looking your best and
